A beautiful example of the West meeting the East...a 3D printed model of a temple designed according to the prescriptions in the Vedic texts of India...created by students in my seminar class on the Architecture of India at NDSU...the 3D printing is additive technology...while the original rock-cut temples in India were based on a subtractive technology...now these temples can be cast in concrete with construction-grade 3D printers...the circle of the ages returns to its source with a twist!
